Jan 2026 — Google is testing lighter font colors for product pricing and inventory inside AI Mode search results.
The change was reported by Search Engine Roundtable.
Prices and stock labels appear in light gray text when shown in AI-generated answers. The same products use darker text in standard Google Search.
Google has not made any announcement about this UI change. The behavior has been observed during ongoing AI Mode tests.
