This is not about Apple “handing over Siri to Google.” Instead, Apple is reportedly building its own Apple Foundation Models while using Google Gemini as a backend intelligence layer, especially for complex generative AI tasks. The execution still stays within Apple’s ecosystem — including on-device processing and Apple’s Private Cloud Compute.
